Duch verschiedene Packer sind 3 Versionen dieser Variante gesichtet worden.
Wird der I-Worm.Netskay.C gestartet so kopiert er sich unter dem Dateinamen "WINLOGON.EXE" in das Windows-Verzeichnis und legt folgenden Registryeintrag an:
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
"ICQ Net" = "%windir%\winlogon.exe -stealth"
Weiters werden in der Registry die Einträge des I-Worm.MyDoom gelöscht:

I-Worm.Netsky.C verwendet seine eigene SMTP-Engine für den Versnad. Die eMailadressen sucht er in Dateien mit folgenden Endungen:
.eml,.txt, .php, .pl, .htm, .html, .vbs, .rtf, .uin, .asp, .wab, .doc, .adb, .tbb, .dbx, .sht, .oft, .msg, .shtm, .cgi, .dhtm
Der Wurm versendet sich nicht an eMailadressen mit Wortenteilen wie:
