X97M.Smack.A ist ein Macrovirus der im ersten Schritt, die Vorlage infiziert.
Danach kann jedes neuangelegte Exceldokument ebenfalls infiziert werden.
Am 10.9 gibt der Virus eine Msg.Box. mit folgendem Text am Bildschirm aus:

Smack!!!
Im Virencode ist folgender Text sichtbar:
'Hey people, I'm new here..
'Do you know my name?
'The name's XM97.Smack!!!
'Heh... now you're seeing my code eh..
'OK, you got me...
'Come on, kill me!!!
'Ummm, on second thought...
'Please don't kill me, Pretty PLEASE..
'PLEASE DON'T KILL ME

'Forever Young!
'Heheh
